• hi all,

i’m experiencing a lot of frustration getting slimbox (a lightbox clone) working correctly on my blog, and i’d love to solicit some suggestions.

here’s the problem: when you go to the blog index (https://desk.stinkpot.org:8080/blog/) and click on any image, the slimbox opens behind the post. however, when you actually drill down into a post and click on its photos (i.e. in https://desk.stinkpot.org:8080/blog/index.php/2007/09/13/garage-sale/) the slimbox correctly loads on top of the text.

i’ve tried playing quite a bit with the z-index settings in my slimbox css file, but all to no avail. is it possible that my wordpress theme has its text boxes set to the highest possible z-index? (i’ve gone through my theme’s css file and i see no z-index variables, however.)

    any insights are much appreciated!

    best,
    – lawrence

ugh, the problem was that content:overflow was set to “auto”, not “hidden.” (what a waste of 2 hrs.)
