Lightbox fade doesn't work on my one machine

For some reason there is a difference when I work at home, and when the fade option is turned on in the lightbox settings, then the image turns black when I try to navigate to another image.

It works in IE, FireFox and chrome at work, also in IE and Firefox at home, but not in Chrome at home. It also works on iDevices.
The only difference I can think of is that I am running 2560×1440 resolution at home, and 2048×1200 at work, otherwise everything is identical. Win 7 64bit, all programs newest version as of todays date.
Tried deleting temporary internet files, reinstalling chrome, but everything else is working normally….There seems to be something wrong with this particular setting, in this particular plugin, in certain circumstances.
I can’t really trust that is working properly at the moment.
