Lightbox Function on Kadence

  • Hi there,

    I have Lightbox enabled under General > Performance. But the lightbox function doesn’t seem to work.

    I’ve checked my plugins to see if there’s one that appears to interfere with this functionality. But I haven’t found one…yet.

    I also turned off Rocketloader on Cloudflare because I have issues using that and some scripts. Didn’t help.

    Do you have any idea why the lightbox may not be working?

    Can you send a link to your site so I can see if there are any javascript errors showing in the browser console log?

    Have you tried with both of those plugins disabled and your cache cleared?

    Hey,
    Your optimizing plugin is defering the loading of jQuery

    You will need to turn that off since you have plugins that won’t work if you defer jquery loading.

    @chrisdc85 I’m too afraid to turn off Jetpack. It has too many functions and I don’t want to break my site. I only recently turned on Easy TOC because another TOC plugin wasn’t working well with another plugin on my site. ??

    @britner I turned off the jquery defer and cleared the cache. But no change.

    It’s really not a big deal all in all if I don’t have the lightbox functionality. I mean, it works when I put images in a gallery. But not when I insert them individuality. But I just wanted to see what might be keeping it from working.

    It’s not on Kadence at all. You guys are great. But man, it’s frustrating not being able to have all the functions I want/need on my site. There’s always something interfering with something else. I wish I could pare down the plugins even more than I have but then I think my site would be pretty boring and slow.

    Alas…

    Perhaps I am misunderstanding. Now that you’ve fixed the jquery issue your site doesn’t have any errors in the console log. Can you link to a page where you have added individual images with a link to the image file and your lightbox isn’t working?
