• I’m having problem with when opening terms-pagelink in registration section, nothing happens, it just opens another new registration page with “#terms” -word on the end of the link.
In settings I have chosen my “terms” page and checked lightbox feature, because I need it.

    Using:

    -agreeable 1.7.3
    -bbpress 2.5.4

    Thanks in advance.

Could you link me to your site, I’ll take a look!

It sounds like there’s a javascript conflict with the lightbox, could be caused by a gallery plugin or something.

    The registr. page: users.metropolia.fi/~janhal/demo/wp-login.php?action=register

Sorry, the plugin version was 1.3.7.

When I click on the link I do get the popup, however both the background and text color are set to black so it’s just a black box.

Could you try the link again and see if it’s working for you?

I can’t see any popup box appearing, it is leading me to another registration page and gives me this address: /wp-login.php?action=register#terms.

Could it be a browser issue? Tried on chrome and firefox.

Also tried to change color settings.

If I understood correctly, the terms-page should appear in the box right after clicking, infront on the same page?

You understand correctly, and I see the color changes you’ve made…

I am checking in Chrome and it’s working so it’s hard to say what’s going on for you. Could you do me a favor and open an Incognito window in Chrome so there isn’t any caching going on, and try the page? It may be that your browser is keeping an out of date version of the page and not showing you the proper version.

Well, I tried it now on android’s stock browser and it opens normally, as you said.

Tried also deleting cache of chrome, incognito-mode of both chrome and firefox, but nothing happened, so it is very strange.

Do you know how to use the Inspector in Firefox or Chrome? If you could open that and check the Console tab to see if there are any Javascript errors that’s the next step in diagnosing the issue.

There wasn’t any error messages/codes after little arrow in “console tab” at chrome or firefox, if I was searching in the right place?

I was also trying different computers with chrome and it does the same thing: after clicking, it just opens a new tab with same page. Strangely Samsung stock browser works with this without any problems.

Are you running any caching plugins like W3 Total Cache?

    Thread Starter cubeacid

    (@cubeacid)

    No, i don’t.

Actually i found this warning in console of firefox:

“Use of Mutation Events is deprecated. Use MutationObserver instead. jquery.js:3”

Not sure whether it is related to this issue.

Have you tried disabling all other plugins to see if there is a conflict?

All I can guess from what we’re seeing so far is that another plugin’s javascript is in conflict with the lightbox since we can’t consistently duplicate the issue.

    (@cubeacid)

All other plugins are now disabled in my wordpress, but it didn’t change.

Hmmm, have you tried activating a different theme?

    (@cubeacid)

Yes I tried, but without success. I’m just wondering, why this function works on phone browser but not elsewhere?

It’s hard to say…I haven’t yet been able to duplicate your issue on my end in any browsers, and nothing in the console indicates any conflict so there’s not really anything else I can do without actually sitting at your computer ??
