Lightbox not visible

    Hello,

    a few days ago I encountered a strange behaviour of the free gallery plugin.
    The lightbox-thumbnails are not showing up. I am using the latest version of wordpress and Envira 1.8.5.1.
    PHP version is 8-1.

    On this page here there are no thumbnails visible:

    However, on this page, the lightbox is visible, but after refreshing the browserwindow, it is gone:

    No lightbox here as well:
    https://sunsetglow.de/portfolio/

    But on this page here, everything works fine:
    https://sunsetglow.de/awo-luebeck/

    I tried different approaches like inserting a gallery as a text block or Envira gallery block, no luck.
    And yes, I made sure, that lazy loading is disabled.

    Hope this is helpful for the developer team and there will be a fix soon.
    Before this I never had any issues with Envira Gallery free. Highly recommended.

    Hi @rheumadecke!

    I apologize for any trouble! I’m currently able see the gallery images, and access the lightbox at all links provided. Can you confirm the same behavior?

    However, I do see an error within the console appearing, and our team is aware of this issue. The temporary solution to resolve this is to disable lazy-loading within the galleries. Our next release will include the fix for this, and I will reach back out as soon as I have an ETA on this.

    thanks for your reply and taking the time to look into this.

    I tested it with both firefox and safari on my mac. Nothing has changed, so I can only repeate myself ??

    When I click on this page here, for the blink of an eye I can see the lightbox, but after that it is gone. I must admit that the pictures show up after clicking on the “invisible” lightbox:

    This page here is “empty” too but does not show the lightbox for the blink of an eye… All the images can be selected as well.

    And as I wrote – lazy-loading was already disabled.

    Hi @rheumadecke!

    Envira Gallery 1.8.5.2 was just released, which should resolve this issue for you. At your earliest convenience, can you please update the plugin and let me know your results?

    sorry for the delay.

    I just installed the update, but it had no effect.
    So I got the feeling, that there is a problem with my wordpress-installation itself.

    I switched to another theme for a moment – the gallerys behaved perfectly, all of them!
    But I still had to make sure, that lazy loading is deactivated.

    I will report this issue to the theme designers.

    Strange, that one gallery worked all the time on my “old” theme, while all others didn′t. This one here worked :

    Yes, lazy loading was disabled on the others as well…
    Switched back to my “old” theme with the gallery issues cause I don′t have the time for a complete rebuild with another theme right now.
