I have installed FooGallery and FooBox Free Image Lightbox. I have installed it several times on other sites with no issues, but this time on this site: https://www.bryjo.pcaconsulting.net/gallery-2/kitchen-gallery/ when you click on the images, you don’t get the light box just a large jpg with no way to scroll through the images. I have clicked on the “Disable other lightboxes” and “Show extra debugging”, but I am not getting anything. I have tried deactivating the FooBox free and reactivating. I also tried turning off the album extension. I just can’t think of anything else to try.

I had a look at your page and some plugin seems to be adding the defer attribute onto all the script tags. This is causing all your scripts to load async which means that when the FooBox init code runs for the first time, it has not loaded in the page yet, which causes a JS error. This means FooBox will not run on your page.

You need to stop whatever script or plugin is adding that defer attribute onto your script tags

I realize that this post was a year ago, but I am having the same issue. I also see that something has added the defer attribute to the script tags. However, I have deactivated any plugin that would have added the tag, but it still appears. Is there a way to remove the defer tag (other than deactivating or removing the plugin)? I really prefer using your Gallery and Lightbox plugin. It gives me so many more options (particularly for thumbnail sizes and styles) which I really like. I am currently using it in the footer gallery. It was working at one time, but no longer. Here is the link https://owlbert-eyenstein.com. Any help, suggestions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

We have found that some themes have this function built in to defer scripts, to help with page loading performance. What theme are you using? Perhaps I can find the code that is causing the problem
