LightBox now producing slow queries

    Hi there,

    I’m running the latest WordPress installation, along with the latest Lightbox plugin. All of a sudden my site has started to slow down. I’m running a query monitor that has indicated that LightBox is running a cron job or the likes. It’s slowing my page speeds down from an average of 0.6/0.7 to now being over 2, and sometimes up to 6.

    How would be best for me to diagnose this? Apparently it’s using wp-includes/option.php:333 to do the “wp_update”

    Sorry for the lack of information, I wasn’t entirely sure what you would need off me.

    Hi Solomon,

    Please can you paste the output from your query monitor. I just want to pinpoint where the queries are coming from exactly.

    My apologies, the Autoptimize plugin interfering with the process. I have removed this and all is well again.

    Any more info on that @fujikuraeurop, because I’m not sure how (why) AO slow down you site all of a sudden (let alone cause slow running wp_cron jobs/ calling wp_update)?

    Hi Frank,

    I’m uncertain to be honest, but as soon as I deactivate AO my site goes back to having 0.5/0.7 second response times. I reactivate AO and the response time goes from 5 seconds to 30 seconds (30seconds was the longest it has been). I won’t be able to get back on today, but is there anywhere I could get you information that might help?

    and was that the case from the day you activated Autoptimize, or had you been running AO satisfactory until one point after which it became slower?

    I’ve only recently introduced AO and it was at that time when I noticed the speeds decreased, yeah.

    OK, this can be fixed, but let’s not bother @bradvin with this, as this does not pertain to his plugin. can you create a support-topic on https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/autoptimize/#new-post (and maybe mark this one as resolved)? ??
