Lightbox opening when gallery image is clicked

That is strange behavior that we are not able to replicate on our end.
Can you please install this plugin, health check: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/
After you install and activate the above plugin it has a Troubleshooting mode which allows you to have a vanilla WordPress session, where all plugins are disabled, and a default theme is used, but only for your user – your visitors will still see the normal website.

Go to its troubleshoot mode and activate only Modula and see if the same issue happens with no other plugins and a default theme.

I apologize for the delay in replying. Unfortunately, the plugin you suggested is not user friendly in the amount of steps it takes to disable and enable plugins.

Since the site is a staging site, I just went ahead and disabled all the plugins, except Modula. Even with a working URL in the URL field and the “Hide from Lightbox” in the on setting, the images just open in Lightbox.

Can you please send me the URL of your gallery page and a screenshot with your General Settings/Lightbox settings?

It seems the lightbox is added by another plugin, something Responsive Lightbox.
Do you have such a plugin installed? Please disable it and it should fix the issue.
