• I’m using NextGen Ver 2.0.66 and WP V3.9.1. Two days ago, the lightbox was working perfectly but yesterday it stopped and images started opening in new page. I have read through all the support posts relevant to this version and find nothing that works. I installed manually another instance of the plugin. I tried to “reset” the options but I get the error “you do not have sufficient permissions” message. I changed my theme to WP Twenty-Twelve and still not working. I deactivated WP Total Cache and all other plugins and still no change. I’m happy to pm you any other information you may need.

    @jr0131 – Where there any recent changes in your server environment? When you deactivated W3 Total Cache did you also ensure all of its artifacts were cleared from your site as well (not that it should affect anything but it doesn’t remove all of its cache files on deactivation).

    no recent changes in server. Not sure how to do what you suggest with W3 Total Cache. I only deactivated it.

    @jr0131 – Generally you will need to look at your site via an FTP client to see what, if any, extra folders/files may have been left behind.

    As it is, something does not work and then stop working without something else changing somewhere to affect it. Caching plugins/services can “mask” those changes by serving older versions of a page or post which gives the impression it is working … or not.
