Lightbox too small on mobile device

When I use the lightbox it world great on a desktop but on a mobile device it seems to retain the same ratio to display. This displays the lightbox image smaller than the actual thumbnail on the page. How can I adjust the lightbox display size on a mobile device so that it is more full page than a small item in the middle of the screen?
