Lightbox with Jetpack Tiled Gallery?

    I know you’ve been asked this many times but I still haven’t found an answer, but maybe I’ve missed something (jetpack is 2.2.4).

    Is it possible to click on a tiled gallery and have a lightbox pop up?

    I’ve turned carousel off and tried about 10 different lightbox plugins with no success. Lightbox Plus ColorBox is activated right now.

    Lightbox Gallery is the only one that works but it collapses the structure of the tiled gallery.

    I guess my question is, has anyone found a solution? Is there a lightbox plugin that you’ve heard of that works with jetpack tiled gallery?

    I’m about to give up and just use carousel.

    Could you try to edit your galleries to link to the Media file instead of the attachment pages? Once you use this gallery option, most Lightbox plugins should start working.

    I’m not familiar with “Lightbox Plus ColorBox” though, so you might want to try other plugins if changing the gallery shortcodes to [gallery type="file" ...] doesn’t work.

    Good thought, but still didn’t work. But I did find a solution

    I might try that method in another theme though, thanks.

    I also need to open the jetpack tiled mosaic gallery with a lightbox.

    Even Dawn, you can either add link=”file” manually into the [gallery] shortcode in the HTML editor, or you can do it from the visual editor. In the visual editor, click the gallery to edit it and then look on the right side of the panel. You should see a “Link To” option—select “Media File” and save changes.
