Under the section on Buddypress Integration in the plugin description i it reads:

Enable the like button to appear on the activity stream for BuddyPress.

I interpret that as there now being the functionality to like activity stream items, is this the wrong interpretation?

Ive installed the latest version of the plugin but don’t see a like button in my activity stream.

    Hi kcurlsjr,

This option will enable showing the activity of the like button on the BuddyPress activity stream. No button will show on the activity stream, only new entries like ‘User1 likes a reply on Example Topic on the Offtopic forum’.

You can see an example in this screenshot:

    Best regards,
    Jordi

Yeah a bit misleading, there is no like button on the activity stream.

Although a great plugin, the ability to like activity stream entries would make it 99.99% perfect.

100% when we have more control over widget output, like a limit on liked posts in the list.

    Anyway, great plugin 99.98% perfect.

On my installation no addition to the stream is happening. What could be the reason?

I’m also not seeing any likes in the BuddyPress activity stream.

    WordPress 3.9.1
    bbPress 2.5.4
    BuddyPress 2.0.1

I think I’ve found a way to get the likes to show up in the activity stream. Go to the Likes settings in your admin page, and click “Save Changes” at the bottom of the page (I don’t think you need to actually change any of the settings).

This fixes some php errors by initializing:
    settings['settingsbbpl_bbpl_labels_label_like_button_action']
    and
    settings['settingsbbpl_bbpl_labels_label_like_button_action_done']
