• I really like the plugin concept…

For the most part it works, however, the plugin will not update daily autonomously, which is why I chose this plugin. That being said, I guess it does not work…

I have configured the plugin to what is outlined in the instructions, but it will not update unless I save the page the short-code is inserted into.

The next day or 2, 3 or 10 days later, the page does not reflect the current date and quote. Only when I go back into admin and save the page, does the plugin update to current date / quote…

Thank you for the review. Every time that has happen it has been due to a caching plugin. So make sure your WP site is not caching the result. Then the system should change the quote automatically. Cheers.

I did check and noticed that LiteSpeed Cache was active… I have since deactivated it and will see with tomorrows listing then notify you of the results… Thank you Jeremy…

Ah web server caching. That will do it too. Obviously any caching just saves the last pull. You might want to set the caching life to like an hour or two after you test with no caching of course. Thank you for the update. Cheers.

Well Jeremy, as you know, I did deactivate the LiteSpeed Cache, monitored the site for the past four days and that has solved the issue… It has been updating daily to change quotes, without hanging on just the one… As you pointed out, it is retaining the information from the last edit and it was all because of the cache plugin… Thanks for the assistance, and now my thread title “Like / Dislike” is now LOVE IT!

Awesome sauce! Thank you for letting the community know of your experience. A caching system has always been the source of non updating. I am glad you love the plugin. Thank you for the review, the updates, and being a WordPress community member. Enjoy! Cheers.
