Limit a user/role to a specific page

  • Hello Folks – I’d like to setup a user, and give them access to edit/modify one specific page of my site,and no others…sounds like a common thing, right? I’ve just tried a few of the access control plug-ins, which I found lacking. Have any of you all setup something like this? Thx in advance, Jesse

    Unfortunately I haven’t seen a clear answer to this besides using a paid plugin alternative such as Press Permit, but there are a few other options you could try!

    One suggestion is to assign your user as a contributor, and then change them to be the author of the page you’d like them to edit. Source

    Another option would be to install Role Scoper, a predecessor to Press Permit and follow the instructions from the author (Kevin Behrens) listed here.

    K – Thx for the reply. I’m working the “change roles” thing you suggested, and will give Role Scoper a check. Thanks for the suggestions
