    Hi,

I have post which live in multiple categories.

For example, I may have a post that is in both category A and category B.

I have one ad that should display in category A and another ad that should display in category B.

However, on that post’s “single” page, both ads are displaying.

Is there a way to limit the ad that displays to only be the “main” category for that post (whichever corresponds to the current category in the URL at least)?

    /category/categorya/mypost
In this case, since mypost is being viewed via category A in the breadcrumbs, the category A ad should display, not the category B ad.

I know we can ad logic, but I don’t know how to grab the list of “show on checked pages” to compare the post’s category.

If you know a way, I would appreciate it.

    Best,
    Joel

    Hi Joel,

    thanks for the question.

To achieve the wanted behavior Advanced Ads comes with “display conditions“.

It’s possible to assign these to every ad you created directly in the ad setup.

There are plenty of them and in your case, I suggest using the display condition for ‘categories’. There is also a logic for using multiple conditions on one ad.

Please note that it is even possible to change the behavior of the ads accordingly to the visitors you get using visitor conditions.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,
    Henning
