Limit concurrent mySQL connections
-
Hi,
I am using latest version of WordPress on my website: https://www.mirasbrides.com
I’ve build the website just a couple of weeks ago. It was providing good response and I was getting 1000+ visitors a day. On 4th October I got 3000+ unique visitors on my website. And than I have installed “Google XML Sitemaps” plugin. I was using a free theme from SMThemes.Than suddenly I was unable to access my website. I found “Error in establishing database connection”.
I contacted with my hosting support and they replied:
We have a limit of 10 concurrent MySQL connections and for database, it appears like at that time you have exceeded the above limit and hence received the error message.
In order to prevent the such issues in future, you need to modify the scripts in such a way that it does not use 10 concurrent MySQL connections at a time. You can contact your system Administrator or vender of the application to get the details.
I’ve hired a developer, but he was not able to sort it. I can’t access to admin panel. When I tried to access phpMyAdmin, it don’t allow to browse tables because of some restrictions.
One developer told me that this issue is because of theme, which is using more databases resources.
Than suddenly I’ve noticed that my website is live again and I was able to access admin panel. I have changed my theme from “EURODOM” to “Tydskrif”. After 30 minutes I got the same issue, Error in esatblishing database connection.
One developer told me that there should be only one open connection no matter how much traffic you have on your website. But he is not able to put this limit.
Kindly help me what should I do to overcome this problem. I am loosing thousands of visitors daily ??
Thanks
