Limit Currencies By Payment Method?

Is there a way we can limit the payment methods shown based on the currency selected?

We were able to do this with https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/woocommerce-currency-switcher/ but we have moved to this plugin as it had issues working with WP Rocket on our site.

We have a payment method that currently only works with GBP but we also list USD on the site as people can pay with this via paypal. At the moment we are getting round this by enabling the setting to switch to default currency on the checkout page but ideally we would like to be able to let people pay in USD if they wish.
