    Hi,

after installing TEC my server had a spike in CPU usage, hosting told me to limit Heartbeat to an interval of 5 min. I can’t just limit that for the whole site because other stuff doesn’t work ok…

So, is there a way to limit the requests done by TEC? Events are not the priority of the website, so it’s ok some lagging between creating an event and loading in frontend, for instance.

    Thank you,

    Ian

    Hi @yano23

I’m sorry to hear that you feel my replies seemed generic. I understand that you were looking for specific help limiting the admin AJAX calls, and I appreciate you bringing this up. Unfortunately, we could not provide you with the snippet that will reduce the AJAX calls from our plugins.

However, you could try this plugin instead or something related to limiting the heartbeat API. Also, you could try using a caching plugin or check for a possible plugin/conflict.

I hope this helps, and please let me know if you have further questions or concerns.

    Hi,

I tried limiting admin ajax on the whole website, but it produces some conflicts with the builder I’m using (Bricks). That’s why I wanted to ask to you how can I limit the calls on your plugin only.

Caching is not activated in dev stage.

    No plugin conflict detected.

I see I’m not the only one reporting this problem with your plugin.

    Thanks

    Hi @yano23

I tried limiting admin ajax on the whole website, but it produces some conflicts with the builder I’m using (Bricks).?

If the heartbeat API calls are limited, it is likely that conflicts will eventually occur with all the plugins. Our development team has advised against limiting the API calls altogether to prevent such conflicts from arising.

In the meantime, please check if WP Query Monitor gives any more details on slow queries or requests that could help narrow down the issue.
