• I have just redesigned my site and reduced the post section width, so now all the posts that had images with a cirten width are not fitting in.

How can I limit the images published in my site to a maximum width?
I tried the option in “media” section, But images that were embedded from another url, inherit the size from that site.

This problem also happens in embedded movies.

Is there a way to “hard code” limit the width of an image/video in the post page?

    Thank for your help

The best practice is to size them to the correct size before you upload them to your website.

Also make sure that you save for web.

There is also a wordpress plugin call smush.it that is very useful in optimizing your images for your wordpress site on the fly.

But you will need to resize the images before you upload them to your site, other wise they will be to large and then you will run into loading time which is really bad.

I do have a video that shows you the plugin on my wordpress training site.

Let me know if this helps or if there is anything else I can do to help!

    Thank you Derek.

Resizing before upload is a good practice,
but my problem is that I changed the site layout, and I need to limit the size of all the previous images to fit the new size…

I have more then 500 posts.
