    Hi,

    the field “Limit” in the FAQ-Block behaves strange. Changing the Limit from 10 to 25 in a new block works. But when I edit the Site with the block after updating the site the FAQ-Block chnages the Limit back to 10.

    Also strange: the field “Limit ( number of items )” in the Pagination-Tab of the global settings has no influence to that.

    We are using Version 1.2.1 on a WP 6.5.2…

    Do we make something wrong or maybe a bug?

    Greetings

    Chris

    1. Cannot replicate the first issue. Could you show the issue in a small video clip + can you check if you have any error_logs (PHP) or console logs (while saving and also in the frontend)
    2. The global limit should be overwritten by the block level options.

    Hi Essekia,

    I made a short screencast for a better understanding:

    https://hanfverband.de/staging1/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/helpie-faq-pagination-2024-05-13_11.49.00.mkv

    There you can see, that the global limit is set to “50” but the new block is created with “10”. After I’ve changed the limit to “50” in the block, to things happen:

    1. Going to the block settings afterwards, I see “10” again in the block, but as long I don’t change anything in the site, in the frontend still 50 appear. (no Caching active!)
    2. After changing anything in the site, in my example I’ve added a paragraph, there are shown 10 in the Frontend too.

    All other plugins on our stage have been deactivated. The only message I get are about duplicate queries:

    HelpieFaq\Features\Faq\Handlers->get_total_no_of_pages
    1 call
    HelpieFaq\Includes\Footer_Content->print_faq_collections
    1 call

    Best Regards

    Hi Essekia,

    thanks so far. I can confirm, that the configuration of a block is permanent now, once set.

    Creating new FAQ-blocks they still don’t take the global setting, but the other point is more relevant for the daily work…

    Thanks & best regards

    Christian
