Limit maximum tickets per user / email address

Hi Joe,
is there any way to limit the maximum of ticket purchases for an event per user / his email address?
An check of the customers previuos/completed purchases for the events purcahses – to prevent that one customer is able to buy more that the defined maximum per this special event.
Will there also any solution to restrict the maximum purchasable tickets only for a specific event?Thanks Carsten
