Limit Number of Results Per Page

Hi, is there a way to limit the amount of results per page? (such as 10 or 15 per page, etc)

When i search for an extremely common keyword such as “Writer” on my website, the browser sometimes freezes because it’s displaying way too many results in a single page. Less-common keywords don’t have this issue.
