Limit places taken into 1 register

Is it possible to limit the amount of places taken in one single registration?
I mean, when I am creating the event and I write an specific number in the “Maxium number of places per registration” box, it will make the registration form to open more textboxes, with the title “names”.

I mean, if I leave that box in blank, the registration form is ok, but if I write a number, it will automatically change all the structure of the registration form and add a lot of textboxes that say “names”.

I just want to know if it is possible to limit the amount of places taken in the registration.
