I’m creating post content that can only be viewed by logged in users in a specific role.

I’ve found “Content Permissions” section that allows me to select the user roles who would have access and that works.

Is there a way to skip that and do the same by assigning a post to a specific Category? (The category “Member News” can only be viewed if they are in the “Active Member” role.

This way, I can “pre-set” a bit easier for my client. They select “Member News” and they can see it (they editors and admins) along with the members.

    Hi @steve49589

The Content Permissions block works only with single posts and pages. You can’t protect posts category. To do this you’d need a more advanced plugin like MemberPress with many types of rules.

    Cheers

Thank you. We will consider MemberPress as you’re indicating we can set that up in the pro version of your plugin.
