Limit the Excerpt Length

Greetings,
I would like to know if there is a simple way to limit the excerpt length by words. I would like to shorten these up a bit.
You can see where I am using the Shortcodes Ultimate widget at https://clearpointmarketing.com/gerbervillage.dev
I am using three post shortcode widgets and offsetting them so that a different post displays in each box.
