deapness – our bad – it is [email protected]

In terms of the limit to – I assume you are speaking about the on the settings page. This limits the number of items on the list view. Is this what you are referencing.

    Thanks, Don

    I have the same problem.
I try to limit the events shown in the widgets to a certain category, but every single one of them would be shown.
As you did, I tried to show a single event, but still nothing.
I think it’s some kind of problem with the database, because in the settings page every event belongs to the same category, but not when I edit them individually.
Is there any known issue with Better WP Security?
    Thanks

This project I am working on picked back up so I am exploring this issue again. I’ve contacted support but I wanted to update this post of what I’ve found out so far:

If you have the widget set to “Limit to:” AND have the “Show upcoming events” box checked, it will show ALL upcoming events from ALL categories regardless of “Limit to:”.

If you have the widget set to “Limit to:” and DO NOT have the “Show upcoming events” box checked, it will only show events from the “Limit to:” but ONLY for the current day.

What I am trying to do is display the next 10 upcoming events for ONLY 1 category regardless of date.

I’ll make another post when I hear back from CalPress.

I’m also facing exactly what deapness explained so well above.

‘upcoming events’ currently ignores the other ‘category, tag, or event’ filters available in the CalPress Events widget.

    My 2cents…
Perhaps the default setting should be all upcoming events. Then the user could use the filters to narrow the results down to something more specific (ie. cat, tag, event title). And lastly, the checkbox should say ‘just show today’s events’ which would narrow it further.

I finally received a response to the ticket I opened regarding this issue, but it was not the one I was looking for:

“Yes, it is possible. There’s a settings in the widget area.”
