Limit word-count while contributor is writing their post

    I was wondering if there might be a way to limit the number of words a contributor is allowed to add to our website.

    I’ve seen many plugins that can limit the word-count when reading the content from the database and rendering it on the page, but none that will stop the contributor from adding more text to their post when they have reached the word-limit.

    Our client wants to sell “classified ads” on their online news website. I’m trying to steer him away from this and just limit the content that is actually displayed.

    What do you think is the best solution?
