Limitation on size of table?

    Great plugin! Left a 5 star review.

    I was playing around and imported a huge table (30 columns and over 1000 rows).

    The problem was that you could no longer save any changes on the Edit table screen.

    Clicking SAVE gave an an AJAX error, and holding down shift+SAVE also did not save the changes.

    It would seem that for large tables, we need a way to edit the table options without the Table Content section. Possibly set an Edit Options button and a seperate Edit Table Content button so they could be worked on seperately?

    Is there a limitation to Table Content size that we need to be aware of?

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    Yeah, unfortunately, the “Edit” screen does not work well for large tables like this ?? Mainly, the browser will become very slow due to the large number of input text fields. Also, some server seem to have problems with large AJAX requests :-/

    My suggestion for large tables like this is to manage/edit them in Excel and then re-import them into TablePress (as a CSV file) after making changes. Would that approach work for you?

    Making external changes and re-importing is fine and not an issue, but how would I make changes to the Table options on the Table edit page if it won’t save?

    Hi,

    you’d make those changes on a new/small table first, and only then import the table data (choosing to replace the existing version).
