• I had my site hosted on my.interserver.net with a Microsoft shared server. I encountered error messages such as unable to update plugins. They changed hosting to a non Microsoft shared server, with them, as per there suggestion. Website is up, running but when logging in as admin, Admin looks to be in subscribers role.
    I did all the suggestions from https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/login-trouble/ with no success.

    The hosting IT has been working on the issue for 5 days with no success. They did get it working for one admin user for a day and now it has reverted back. I have also changed, themes, not used plugins, any at all, reinstalled WordPress. Nothing has changed, still cant log in to WordPress back-end to get anything done. Thank goodness for cPanel and FTP.
    Can anyone help?
    mySQL Version: 82
    and PHP versions- 7.3, tried 5.6 didnt work- wordpress version 5.4.2 – browssers, firefox, chrome

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    If you are not using Multisite, access your database via phpMyAdmin (most hosting providers offer this in your hosting account’s control panel), go to the wp_users table and find the row for your user_login. Note the ID of this row. Now, go to the wp_usermeta table and find the wp_capabilities row for your user_id. Set the value of this row to:

    a:1:{s:13:"administrator";b:1;}
