Limited functionality

So a few things that dont’ seem to be working as expected or useful additions:

1. If I use the ‘Front page displays’ option in WP to assign two separate static pages for my Home page and my Blog page and add links to each to my menu, when I assign an image to Blog on my menu this is then also used for my Home page – assgining an image to just my Home pages does nothing i.e. not image displayed. I would expect/hope for separate images for each.

2. If I assign an image to my top level Blog menu item it displays, but the same images is then not used (as I would expect) for any blog news items, categories or tags archives. The same image does however get used for my date archives.

3. Does not seem to be working for custom post types.

4. Would be really useful to exclude some menues e.g. I have a menu set up to go in my footer – I don’t want this available in the WP Header Images settings.

Overall I really like the initial purpose of this Plugin, but based on the above its kind limited in that there are lots of pages that will simply not have a hader image.
