Limited list of tags available

  • Hey folks –
    It looks like I’m unable to select any tags past the letter D when I’m trying to “limit to tag” – I’d gladly use Limit to Taxonomy if would work for a tag – I’ve tried using post_tag=james – but this doesn’t seem to work the way the widget would if limit to tag was working.

    Worth pointing out that on other instances of the widget (installed a year or two ago) seem to work, but they also won’t let me view any tags past the letter D, but they seem to remember those tags.
    Does this question make sense?

    Hi,

    You have to use tag ID when limiting to tags. You can find the ID from Posts –> Tags –> click the tag you want the ID of and in the URL there should be something like this: taxonomy=post_tag&tag_ID=12&post_type=post. In the example the tag id would be 12.

    If you are using shortcode, try taxonomy=”tags=x,y,z“, where x, y and z are your desired post IDs, instead of post_tag=james or w/e you currently have.
