Limited number of “sections” ?

There is no limitation in the number of tab groups that can be added.

I have been able to add seventy tabgroups to a test page with no issues.

Check that you have formatted the shortcodes correctly as even a minor typo like a single misplaced quote or the wrong kind of quote can cause issues with shortcodes.

Thanks for answering so quickly. The only issue is that I am copying a section that is currently working and changing the information. Ive tried this a few times to no avail. The shortcode is being copied from a WORKING section…so I know its done correctly.

To rule out a conflict with something in your theme temporarily switch to a default (twenty-something) theme, also check for a possible conflict with another plugin by temporarily deactivating all other plugins.

There is definitely something wrong. I started from scratch on the bottom section and made sure there were no errors with the shortcode. Every time it is doing the same thing and its very odd. It is deleting what I did and automatically ‘creating’ something on its own- I cant even really explain what its doing. It is fine up until the 13th “section” and then it screws everything new up when entering the 13th section. There isnt even any code in the “column” section of the 13th section !

That’s not a standard WordPress edit page.

Is that a page builder?

Where are the tabby shortcodes entered?

Are you able to try entering the shortcodes on a page without using a page builder?

Im using the BeTheme. But that should have nothing to do with anything.

As I mentioned, up to 12 sections work fine and then things get screwed up when I try to make a 13th section. Seems very odd to me.

Ive tried starting a new section from scratch as well as copying a section from an already currently working one. Nothing works past 12 sections. Not sure what else to do ….also not sure why up to 12 sections work fine but nothing after that ???

Switching to a default theme doesnt prove anything. I need it working with the site Im building. Im sure there is something wrong somewhere- but I dont dont see where.

I know people love your plugin by the reviews and not that you care at this point, but its such a huge pain in the a$$ as Im going to have to redo all the sections/ tabs and use someone elses plugin if you cant help any more than more than suggesting to try it in a default theme. I appreciate very much you answering so quickly on the forum but you havent really helped at all. I need to add more sections and as Ive stated- I cant add more than 12.

Remember that I have provided the plugin and am providing support for free. I don’t expect gratitude, but neither do I expect attitude, saying that I have not helped at all comes across as unappreciative and rude. You have asked for help and I have suggested troubleshooting steps. If you don’t want to undertake the troubleshooting steps thats up to you, but unless you can follow the standard troubleshooting steps I suggest, I can’t suggest anything else as I have no idea whether your theme is the cause of the issue or not.

I know how WordPress works and I know how my plugins work, but I don’t know the themes sold on themeforest work as I do not have access to their code. If you were using a theme from www.ads-software.com I would be able to install it on a test site to investigate whether something in the theme is the cause of the issue.

I am not suggesting that you switch to a default theme permanently. That is why I said ‘temporarily switch’ It is a standard and necessary troubleshooting step to ascertain whether the issue is due to something in the theme or not. If the issue still occurs when a ‘twenty-something’ theme is active, that rules out the theme and the other active plugins can be investigated.

I was not rude- just stating a fact and Id gladly pay for your plugin to make it work properly.

But telling me to check your plugin in an unrelated default theme is completely pointless because I believe you and Im sure it will work if you say you “were able to create seventy working tab groups”.

Im sure there is an issue at this point with the theme AND your plugin…but Ive used plugins before that had issues and the developer- for free or paid- usually investigates to see if there is something in the plugin that creates the issue that perhaps they need to change. These things happen. I find it odd that it IS WORKING for up to 12 tab groups but keeps “crashing” or giving problems on the 13th group.

I was hoping you would be able to investigate as it is your plugin- not mine. Im also sure you know coding and WP better than I do, so me trying to tech my own issues proves nothing.

If you believe it the issue is a conflict with your theme, which the troubleshooting step would have confirmed, you need to contact your theme’s vendor for support as they will have access to the plugin but I do not have access to their theme.
