I understand that the coupon code that is limited to be used once per person is being used or applied several times.

Can you please share with us how you created the coupon? Is it thru Marketing - Coupons - Add New? If so, can you please check under the Usage Limits tab the values of Usage limit per coupon and Usage limit per user?

Thanks for your confirmation.

I replicated this on my test site using the same settings you provided. I was able to use the code only once upon checkout and when trying to use it again on another transaction, this is the error message I received:

Guest users who do not have a registered account would however be able to apply the coupon on the checkout page again. It would therefore initially look like they could use that coupon multiple times. When they click to pay for the order, that coupon will however detect their email address has been used with that coupon before and the coupon will be removed.

Can you please check the Usage Restrictions tab and check that the allowed emails is filled up?

Thanks for your answer. So, the problem occurs only with a specific mail. With all the other customers it works properly. This costumer is registered.
Allowed mails is blank because I need to exclude the email and not allow it.

Regarding worpress and my Sql version I Know It’s important to update but I’m doing a restyling of the site so in the new version I’ll use the most recent version.

I tried creating a coupon with the same settings, but could not replicate the same behavior. So the issue is coming specifically for your site.

Regarding worpress and my Sql version I Know It’s important to update but I’m doing a restyling of the site so in the new version I’ll use the most recent version.

Did you at least update WordPress and outdated templates? I can also see that your database is outdated:

Before troubleshooting further, I’d suggest making a backup of your site, and updating plugins, templates and database so your WordPress & WooCommerce site works properly.

Updating and verifying database can be done from WooCommerce > Status > Tools

Implementing the feature above might need customizations that go beyond the scope of support for this forum.

I’m going to leave this thread open for a bit to see if anyone is able to chime in to help you out.

I can also recommend the WooCommerce Developer Resources Portal for resources on developing for WooCommerce.

On the other hand, there is a StackOverflow thread and a website resource here that tries to restrict WooCommerce coupouns based on a customer’s user roles. It might help you get started on your customization tasks mentioned above.

In the meantime, for optimal performance, please follow through on the recommended site updates above.
