Limiting blog posts displayed on Front Page

    I have the Front page set to “Posts” — but I would like to limit the posts displayed on the Homepage to just 1 (the most recent — instead of infinitely scrolling to all previous posts).

    Is this possible? I have the number of posts displayed set to “1” within “Setting > Reading,” but all posts are still displaying on the Homepage.

    Hello,

    Can you confirm that you set the ‘Front page displays’ to ‘Your latest posts’ instead of using ‘A static page’?

    if you set the Front page displays to ‘Your latest posts’, you would be able to display the ‘most recent’ by adjusting ‘Blog pages show at most’ to 1 posts.

    Hi –

    Yes that is exactly the settings I have. Front page is showing “Your latest Posts” and Blog shows at most “1 post” —- yet they are all showing up on the homepage!

    Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

    If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

    Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the theme review team.
