Limiting image file size of contributors to blog

  • Hi

    I allow authorise users to upload and use images on their posts and pages.

    However some of them are not technical and tend to upload whopping great images that are huge.

    Does anybody know of any options or a maybe a plugin that I can use to set a limit on image file sizes (and maybe even provide an alert box type warning explaining to them why they cannot upload these files)

    Hi, I know this is an old post, but I have exactly the same issue. The first thing any inexperienced user is going to do is upload and image straight from their camera = 6MB+

    Needs either a setting to prevent upload larger than xxxk or inline optimiser. Has anyone been working on a plugin for this?
