    Hi! I see this:

    Limit Submission
You can limit submissions of each option to a certain number, and once an option reaches the submission limit, we’ll hide that option from the dropdown list.

But that limit is for all users, right? Is there a way for that number to be the limit per user?

    Thanks for you help!

    Hi @samcysqd,

Yes, the mentioned limit is for the total number of submissions, it doesn’t track users. Unfortunately, there isn’t any out-of-the-box setting to restrict the Select option based on each user and it’ll be complex to achieve such a setup. For example, if there are 100 users, it’ll require tracking the Limit submission of the Select field for every 100 users.

Could you please explain further about the workflow of the form you’re looking to achieve? Is the intention to limit the form submission as a whole? Is the form meant to be used when logged in?

Please advise so that we could check further if needed.

    Kind Regards,

    Nithin

    Thanks for the reply, Nithin!

I’m not limiting form submission but it is for logged-in users.

Students can submit the same worksheet 4 times before I won’t look at it anymore. This is to stop students from sending me files of one update at a time. I have over 200 pages of worksheets so I can’t make separate forms for each worksheet.

I’m also trying to spend less time sorting their worksheets (they get rewards for doing them).

Although, that does bring me to problem #2: is there a way for me to change the submission count for a specific user’s specific worksheet if they submit something for the wrong worksheet?

If this is too complicated, I’ll build a different system. Thanks!

    Hi @samcysqd

Please check if that solution will cover your request:
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/how-can-i-add-a-custome-code-to-limit-form-submission-per-user-in-forminator/#post-16631535
It sounds very similar and no matter if user is logged in or not it will limit that user to submit form again. Of course, in you case, your form will need to contain email field.

Let us know does that help.

    Kind Regards,
    Kris

    Hello @samcysqd,

We haven’t heard from you for over a week now, so it looks like the solution from the previous topic helped.

Feel free to re-open this topic if needed.

Hi Kris, sorry I couldn’t get back to this sooner but I had to take care of some things first.

Thanks for your suggestion. It’s not really what I was going for so I’ll table this for now.

I appreciate all of your help.

    Thanks!
