Limiting users to certain categories.

  • Hello, I am quite new to bloggin and hence rather incompitent. My question is, is it possible to restrict users to making posts only in certain categories? (For instance I want to be able to make posts in News, however I dont want any of my users to do so)

    Second question is whether it is possible to put a login( Username: and Pass: ) on the first page?

  • I use Category Access from here: https://www.coppit.org/code/ (at the bottom of the page) to restrict access to certain categories.

    As far as the login, try searching the codex. I’m sure it’s there.

    Hmm, the Category Access seems to fully restrict access, however I want the category to be available for viewing, but not for posting.
