    Hello,
    first of all: I am an enthusiastic user of your Sugar Calendar (Lite)! It’s great! At the moment I am still using version 1.0.6 (“Never tough a running system” ?? ), but now I would like to update to the current version 2.2.4. A direct upgrade does not seem to be possible (because then my calendar will no longer contain any data), but that is not a problem – I would re-enter all the data in the current version. Unfortunately, there are still two problems:

    1) The line break no longer works for longer dates. The entry “Santo Stefano (2. Weihnachtstag)” appears
    in version 1.0.6 in three lines:
    Santo Stefano
    (2.
    Weihnachtstag)

    In version 2.2.4, however, it is single-line and truncated like this:
    Santo Stefano (2 …
    Question: How do I get an entry displayed in full in the current version?

    2) When I edit an event, I have the option in version 1.0.6 to show a box of the installed plugin Quick Page/Post Redirect, which allows me to create a 301 redirect to another page directly on the event page. In version 2.2.4 this option does not seem to exist, or am I missing something? (Theoretically, you could of course enter the /event/ address on a page of the aforementioned plugin and then the URL you actually want, but that’s a bit cumbersome).

    Thank you for your attention and best regards

    Hey @matta-cib,

    We are sorry for any inconvenience that has been caused as a result of this.

    1. Are you using the size parameter in the Shortcode when displaying your events? If not, please use the format [sc_events_calendar size="large"] and let me know how it goes.

    2)?I did some tests with 1.0.6 and 2.2.4 of the Sugar Calendar but I can’t see much difference. I could be missing something, when you get some time, please share more details about the same. Please share the site health information from Tools > Site Health, and click “Copy site info to clipboard” so I can take a closer look as well.

    Kindly,

    Hello Mike,
    thanks for your answer!
    1) Fortunately, the 301 problem has been solved ??
    2) The non-functioning line break in Vers. 2.2.4 remains as a problem. I have added the specification size=”large” to the shortcode, but nothing has changed.
    As requested, I am attaching a link to the health report of my site on which the 2.2.4 version is installed.
    You can see the difference between versions 1.0.6 and 2.2.4 regarding the handling of longer entries that require a line break here for the date 26.12.2023:
    1) 1.0.6: https://authentisch-italienisch-kochen.de/speise-kalender/
    2) 2.2.4: https://authentisch-italienisch-kochen.de/speise-kalender-new/ (Since versions 1.0.6 and 2.2.4 can probably not be installed in parallel on one site, the current version is installed on a different server – so please don’t be surprised that you end up on a different site).
    If it is helpful, I will also give you temporary admin access (via PN).
    Many thanks and best regards
    Matta

    Hey?@matta-cib,

    I am glad to hear that the 301 error has been fixed. In regards to
    the line break issue, I was able to replicate it on my end as well, and I have shared this issue. As a workaround, please make use of the following CSS:

    #sc_calendar td div.sc_day_div a {
      white-space: normal !important;
    }

    And in case it helps, here’s a detailed tutorial on how to add custom CSS like this to your site.

    I hope this helps!

    Thanks a lot and kind regards
