Line breaks Cont…

  • Hello, I have search the forums for this problem and there are no solutions and most conversations are 3 years old.

    Has there been a fix to forcing line breaks? Whenever i force a line break WordPress takes it out. This is very frustrating. Do you know any code to force breaks that WP likes?

    Any help will be greatly appreciated by me and many others too.

    If you are writing a post, you cant just hit enter in the “visual” tab because it wont show up and will just be deleted the minute you save or preview. So you go into the “html” tab and put in a line break
    but WP gets rid of this as soon as you save or click the visual tab.

    If you type ‘force line break’ into the search there are a lot of people complaining but they are mainly old posts.

    I have been looking through the codex but nothing as yet.

    Don’t switch back & forth between editing tabs. Pick a tab and then stick to it. If you create your content in a plain text editor and then paste it into the Visual tab, your line breaks will be preserved.

    This is good advice, I was switching back and forth as sometimes I needed bulletpoints, and that is easier in the editor.

    But as you said if you dont switch you dont have any problems
