Line Breaks/ Hard Returns removed after 4.7.3 update

  • After I installed the latest WordPress update, ALL the hard returns / line breaks on my pages have been condensed to 1 or removed.

    Previously, I used <br/> and sometimes multiple <br/> tags to get my text in just the right place.

    Now, it looks as though my whole site has been reformatted / redesigned with <br/> no longer recognized. What is the proper way to insert line breaks now?

    This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.
