Line breaks in Default Value Value field of TextArea-type field

The following code snippet can help you set the line breaks in the default value:

add_filter( 'forminator_field_text_markup', 'wpmudev_render_textarea_break', 10, 2 );
function wpmudev_render_textarea_break( $html, $field ) {
	if ( strpos( $html, '{line_br}' ) !== false ) {
		$html = str_replace('{line_br}', '
', $html);
	}
	return $html;
}

Use?{line_br}?macro in place of?<br/>?tag in the default value of normal text area field.

do you know if there will be a better solution in the future? For example either no needing html at all or at the very least, allowing for html code in that field?

It would be a very useful feature, allowing the admin to create stylized email copy ready to be sent.

This would make Forminator even better than it currently is!

Hi Patrick! I’m back with a question relevant to this post. First we needed a linebreak in the textarea’s Default Field and you provided a solution – Thanks again!

Now we need to add a link (<a>) in the filed but again, the html tag gets stripped.

Any idea as to how we can get a link in in the Default Text of filed of the textarea field?

Hello,
Along the lines of the request for a linefeed in a textarea default value, I’d like to add linefeeds in the Subtitle area of a Section. For example:
Title: Gift options
Subtitle:
Option 1
Option 2
Option 3
Option 4

When I enter them into the Forminator Section Subtitle, I get Option1Option2Option3Option4 and they’re displayed that way in the form when previewed.
How can I force a linefeed after each option?
