Line breaks in posts vanish…

I’ve noticed this for a long time, and have often wondered when the issue would be fixed, but have not seen it fixed after all the years that I’ve used WordPress.

When making a post, there’s times that you want to have line breaks between paragraphs, or images, etc.

Yet, when you add them, WP decides what it wants overrides how YOU want it to show, and removes them.

I have tried hitting enter 30 times between a line of text and an image, yet when publish, what happens? Just ONE line space!

I also, have tried going into the text, and add
even to the point of 20 of them. After publish, what happens? Just ONE line space!

Since when does a PROGRAM tell the USER how many line spaces to have in the USER’s post????
