    Hi, love your plugin, really great ??

    In the long description field I have a problem with the line-spacing becoming too large — the html code shows that
    tags are added-in by the plugin.

    here is a sample of the code output /html – notice the automatically added
    tags – not mine:

<h5>...some text...</h5><br>
<h6> ...some text...</h6><br>
<br>
<h5>...some text...?</h5><br>
<br>
<br>

    and so on.

    Now, I’ve tried to get rid of the
    s by removing all empty & new lines in html edit — but then all the code becomes one infinite line -no breaks anywhere- making it very cumbersome to edit listing descriptions.

    It’s not the theme, my approach works great everywhere but on this plugin.

    In the first part I tested the approach ‘no breaks anywhere’

    the rest is normal, as I do everywhere else on the site. And all would be fine, if the plugin didn’t add all those extra
    tags?

    I’ve even tried to make them ‘display none’ with css, but then I cannot just space out paragraphs without adding <p> tags everywhere manually.

    I’d like the plugin to just behave like in wordpress normally – I have used about 10 themes now (including 2011 of course), without problems with the html output and the way I code.

    Note: in WP settings/write the box <<WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically>> IS NOT CHECKED, and I do not want to check it, or it would rewrite al my code (as it does in Visual)

    Note: I can easily edit the css I need, that’s not the problem and works fine.

    Any ideas on how I could solve this

    I see that the post applied `
    ‘ tags everywhere because I did not backtick them when I wrote them. So just to clarify: The plugin adds BR unwanted BR tags.

    Sorry you ran into issues here.

    Looking at that listing, let me make sure I understand the issue.

    You’re using custom HTML inside of the description field–correct? And that is getting extra spaces, but only that custom HTML?

    The rest of the listing seems OK, I just want to make sure I understand what I’m looking at.

    Also, what version of BD are you using here?

    Have you tested with a different theme in this case? I know you say you’ve used others in the past without a problem. What I’m wondering here is if the extra tags are coming from wpautop calls that are coming from the theme inadvertently. We’ve seen this a few times. If you haven’t tried already, switch your site (temporarily, of course) to a default theme. Does this have any impact on the HTML spacing in the description field?

    Report back and we’ll take it from there!

    yes, long description field.
    common simple html code.
    It’s version 3.5.7. – I just installed it 2 days ago.
    I switched themes (to 2012) – problem unchanged, good to know it’s not wpautop.
    It’s really a lovely plugin, powerful and smart. With the < BR > adding solved I’d be super happy!
