    Hello Peter,
It looks like something may have gone wrong during the installation of the fonts, this is typical output when the fonts are not loaded properly. You should be able to fix this particular issue by clicking “Reinstall fonts” on the Status tab of the PDF Invoice settings. However, if this part of the upgrade procedure was not executed correctly it’s also possible some other processes have not been executed either. I recommend checking if all the settings (like shop name, logo, footer, but also the ‘next invoice number’ under Documents > Invoice) are still correct.

If this is all good, just reinstalling the fonts should suffice. Check that the fonts folder is writeable, you can see this on the Status tab too (bottom of the page).

If the settings are not current anymore, I recommend downgrade to 1.6.6 first and then update to 2.0.X again.

    • Deactivate/delete the current 2.0 version (settings won’t be affected)
    • Download 1.6.6 here
    • Upload / install the plugin via Plugins > Add New > Upload plugin
    • Update to 2.0

Let me know if that helps!

    Hi Ewout,

Thanks, I downgraded for now to get it back in use. Will try to update again.

    Best regards,

    Hi Peter,
Does that mean installing the fonts did not work?

    Hi Ewout,

    Unfortunately not…
But will try from scratch again tonight and will let you know the outcome.

I can not imagine there is a conflict with the Premium version, correct?

    Hi Peter,
If you’re using any of the premium extensions and your license is still valid, you can email us at [email protected] (in Dutch if you prefer :). If you’re using an old version it’s possible that it’s not compatible with the latest version, although this particular issue is most likely font related.
The latest version of the Premium Templates is 2.4.1, Professional is currently at 2.0.2.

Let me know what you find!

I’m also receiving the same issue.

I’ve selected to reinstall fonts and also checked that the fonts folder is writable.

For a quick fix, I deactivated the plugin and uploaded and activated version 1.6.6.
The PDF invoices display with no issues.

Any other suggestions to help fix version 2.0.4 much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hello Rikardo,
Are you using a custom font/template or are you using the unmodified Simple template?

Hi @pomegranate, I’m seeing this too, looks like it started happening 2.0+.

Running 2.0.5, adjusted permissions on all temp directories and files within wpo_wcpdf/… and have run the Reinstall Fonts from WooCommerce > PDF Invoices > Status…, have de-activated the Plugin and re-activated, turning Output to HTML on shows the correct HTML layout (no lines pressed together) so this is a PDF generation issue.

I’m going to delete the whole wpo_wcpdf directory and start afresh before rolling back to 1.6.6, I’ll post updates here

    Tada! ??

Deleting the /wp-content/uploads/wpo_wcpdf directory and its contents resolved this issue. Refreshing the WooCommerce > PDF Invoices > Status screen forced the Plugin to regenerate the wpo_wcpdf directory and from there the Edit Order screen spat out a fixed PDF invoice.

I did not need to downgrade to 1.6.6, this issue is solved for me. Hope this helps ??

    Hello Michael,
Thanks for reporting your findings! I’m guessing this is some sort of write permissions issue because the ‘Re-install fonts’ action should overwrite all font files with the new versions so it’s almost identical to removing the wpo_wcpdf folder. Just in case it makes any difference, I will remove the font files in the ‘Re-install fonts’ action in the next update (2.0.6).

Until then (or even after, depending on file permissions), anyone with the same issue can try the same as Michael above:

Deleting the /wp-content/uploads/wpo_wcpdf directory and its contents

Effectively this triggers the plugin to reinstall all font files on a clean slate.
