Lingerie Store – WP Theme needed

  • Hi

    I have a client who has an online store selling lingerie. The current platform is on Joomla but they are keen to move over to WordPress which I think is a lot more flexible. Can anybody recommend a good WordPress Theme that would be suitable for an online shop.. not just any type of online shop, it would need to be suitable for all the different sizes etc… cup sizes and back sizes and they will need to be searchable so cannot be set as a drop down menu if possible.
    Any recommendations of good themes is much appreciated!

    Look at the themes posted on the WP.org repository page — they are all tested and meet WP standards. There is a filter if you want to narrow down your choices.

    Also see the linked page of recommended commercial theme vendors.

    No one can know what you or your client want…and you’ll need to do your own checking as to functionality for ecommerce for specific theme and/or plug-ins.

    Themes probably aren’t the immediate issue

    You’d probably want to look for an e-commerce plugin first. There are a variety of those to search through – often they come with their own themes, or are more compatible with certain themes.

    You’d want to get an appropriate functionality figured out before worrying about layout

    It’s hard to recommend a specific commerce plugin, google would be your friend here – there are several quality plugins, but each has strengths and weaknesses, and suit different needs.

    hi, ive just spent an extended period searching for a good portfolio site. I found a good shop theme for furniture – MAZINE – however whilst looking, there was a really good fashion theme, I didn’t make a note of it because I wasn’t looking for that. However I was looking on this webpage – it has 70 ‘top’ themes – you may find it if you are patient ??

    Thanks guys – I think I may go for the Maya theme.. and will then see if I can add a filter to it to enable the sizes to be searched for.

    Think/hope this will be my best option.
