  • You can’t link to internal tabs using the virtue toolkit tabs. You would need to either add your content not in tabs or use a plugin that supported internal linking in tabs.. I’m not aware of a tabs plugin that does this though.

    Oh, that’s such a shame!

WordPressTabs has that function, but it’s not as pretty as Virtue.

Oh well, I guess I’ll just have to abandon the idea. Nothing is worth giving up Virtue for!

    Thanks anyway. ??

I just realised. On my Homepage, as I mentioned, I have two links that should connect with anchor links on another page. This one and this one.

The first one works, the second one doesn’t. But both are inside tabs.

If you say that I simply can’t link to anchors inside tabs, what is it about the first one that makes it work?

    Hey,
You can link into the tab that is showing. Just not any internal tabs.

Sorry for my ignorance KT, but I don’t understand.

What do you mean by ‘showing’ and ‘internal’?

No tab is open, if I’m linking to it from another page, as far as I understand. Could you possibly explain a bit more?

Sorry to take more of your time.

    Hey,
So the first tab is always “open” when the page loads. In that the first tab never has a “display:none” css style placed on it. So since it’s visible the browser can see that anchor and link to it.

    Ah, understood. Got it.

Thanks for that! I’ll see what other options are available.
