Link all the excerpt

  • Hi, thanks a lot for your plugin. Very much appreciate your work.
    I want to link all the excerpt to the post, not just the “more..”-link at the end. Ideally I even want to wrap a big a-tag around the whole item.

    I actually know how to do this, but when I do and you update the plugin, I’ll have to do it again (or not update).

    I’d add another option link_wrap, set it default to FALSE, check it at the beginning (line 646) and if it is TRUE, start the a-tag, then whenever you add a link (lines 677-703, 714, 724, 735, 773, 783, 794) check if it is TRUE skip adding the links, and then at the end (line 824) close the a-tag again. And the same for the “without pagination” part (open 877, linkcheck 908-934, 945, 966, 1004, 1014, 1025, close at 1055).

    The middle part (skipping the links) might actually be optional, if we want to keep the author-link, etc.

    Can you do this? Shall I do this and you publish an update? What is the best way forward?
