Link category showing phamton links.

  • Hi,

    I’m using WP3.0.1 and I have a peculiar problem. In the link category, I can see 56 links in the default category but I know I have already deleted all links. When I click on links, it shows no links found. Any ideas why I am still seeing 56 links where there are no links found?

    I also can’t seem to delete the link category too. Each time I click refresh, the link category will re-appear.

  • From the link category manager panel:
    Note:
    Deleting a category does not delete the links in that category. Instead, links that were only assigned to the deleted category are set to the category Blogroll.

    You can’t delete the Blogroll category, either.

    You should be able to delete the links individually, though.

    Thanks for the quick reply. I know that the links will be automatically re-assigned to the default link category. I have deleted each link manually but the default link category is still showing 56 links. Upon clicking the hyperlink of the 56 links, it shows no links available. Hence, I’m puzzled why it is still showing 56 links.

    Any ideas?
