  • Which file are you modifying with the editor? Typically most CSS edits are made inside of style.css although depending upon the theme you are using it may be placed elsewhere.

    It is possible that the right element isn’t being targeted either. If you could provide us with a link to your website and a better description of how you want to change the links we can probably help you out ??

    I am trying to increase the font size of my links; in the CSS editor (I accessed from dashboard/appearances)

    Try using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of CSS work.

    I have finally downloaded Fire fox ;
    Is the idea that you edit using the live edit function which creates a box at the bottom of the page? I couldn’t work out how to get inputted text to stay there?

    The Firebug add-on (which you have to install separately) is a tool that allows you to examine and manipulate CSS via your browser but you have to make your final changes to your theme’s CSS.
