Link directly to a Custom Tab

I followed the instructions in the link https://yikesplugins.com/knowledge-base/link-directly-to-a-custom-tab/ to configure it, but when I clicked on the test link, the tab was opened, but it stayed at the top of the page and didn’t scroll to the tab automatically.Please help
